Past-Guest Offers and Loyalty

Perks on board plus savings at booking — when they combine.

Loyalty status and past-guest offers are related but different. Status gives you perks on board; past-guest offers give you a better price or extra value when you book. Understanding how they combine helps you avoid leaving money on the table.

What Past-Guest Offers Look Like

Member fares

Special pricing or extra savings shown only to loyalty members or past guests.

Onboard booking offers

Reduced deposits, onboard credit or flexible terms when you book your next cruise while still on board.

Loyalty sailings

Selected sailings with extra events, gifts or bonus points for members.

Member-only sales

Short sales e-mailed to members, often ahead of public promotions.

Do They Stack?

Sometimes. A past-guest fare may combine with your tier perks on board but not with another public promotion; an onboard booking offer may combine with a later sale or may lock you out of it. Each line sets its own combinability rules, and they can differ by sailing and by market. The safe approach is to price the cruise several ways — with the member offer, with the best public offer, and with any group or advisor amenity — and take the best total.

Booking on Board — Then Using an Advisor

Many lines let you transfer a booking made on board to your travel advisor afterwards, so you keep the onboard offer and gain someone to manage the reservation, watch for price changes and apply later promotions where allowed. Ask the onboard sales team about transfer rules before you leave the ship.

When the Big Sales Run

Public promotions peak early in the year. Our sister site Wave Season gathers those offers while they are live, and Cruising for Less tracks current low fares and discounts all year. Compare them with your member offers before you commit.

Checklist for Loyal Cruisers

  • Keep every loyalty number in one place and give them with every quote request.
  • Ask whether a member fare beats the public fare for your exact cabin and date.
  • Check whether an onboard booking offer has an expiry or a sail-by date.
  • Confirm whether your perks apply on charters or group sailings.

Our cruise advisors at Mister Cruise check these combinations for loyal clients every day.

Watch the Fine Print on Member Fares

A member-only fare is not automatically the lowest. It may require a non-refundable deposit, exclude certain cabin categories or be limited to selected sailings. Compare it with the public fare for the same cabin on the same date, and check the deposit and cancellation rules side by side. When the numbers are close, flexibility may be worth more than a small saving.
